WELCOME.

Ever since I can remember, I have loved to write.
I love to tell stories and have been told that I tell these stories in color. The love of writing made me awaken one day to God’s call to tell my story. This led to the birth of my first book Don't Waste your Pain which focuses solely on my journey through a turbulent childhood to complete freedom.  I never knew how relevant this book will be in my life until almost 10 years later, I experienced the loss of my mother and my sister within 5 weeks! God really does know the plans He has for us all! Please can I get an ‘Amen’?
In my second book, Good Morning Lord. It is Me, Your favorite daughter, I share some of my favorite prayer points to help us appreciate our position as His favorite child and also to understand God's conditional love. My prayer is that reading this book will paint a vivid picture of how God views us, and lead to some rewarding moments of fellowship with our Heavenly Father.

As I complete my third book, it is my prayer that I will continue to be relevant in women's lives by using real-life experiences to tell my stories. I pray that the words I share and the stories that I tell will empower women (young and old) to break free from whatever is holding them back. Live your life at your magnificent best and be blown away by what the Lord will continue to do.

Thank you for visiting my website (and buying a book or two) and please drop me a line when you can. I would love to hear from you.

Love,
Nike

More About Me

I have always enjoyed writing so I cannot really say how long it has been. I do remember turning in an essay for an English class when I was about 8 and my teacher - Mr. Oni told me that my writing will take me places. I remember looking at him so confused while he smiled and said, ‘The way you have used words to paint a story is quite remarkable’. I really did not care about all he had to say other than I just wanted to make sure I got a good grade for my paper.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in English and Literary Studies, a Certificate in Technical Writing and a Certificate in Gerontology. I started my career as an English High School teacher, moved into the corporate world as a Technical Writer and a Business Analyst and now I own and operate a home care agency.

As a survivor of sexual abuse, I want to make it my personal mission to reach out and empower survivors as much as I can. The first step for me was talking about my experience and journey to freedom in my first book, Don’t Waste your Pain.’ I have since then written and published ‘Good morning Lord. It is me, your favorite daughter’ and a series of personal tragedies is making me work on the third book. I also maintain a regular blog with the same message called– ‘Reflections of a Favorite Daughter’.

I enjoy taking long walks, reading and watching movies in my spare time. I have been a member of Victory World Church, Norcross GA since 1998 and served in the church bookstore and the Small Group Ministry. I also served on the Board of Revved Up Kids, an organization dedicated to educating parents about identifying and recognizing sexual predators and teaching children how to defend themselves if they are ever the target of a predator.

A native of Nigeria, I was born in London, United Kingdom and grew up in both the United Kingdom and Nigeria. I now consider myself a long-time resident of Johns Creek, Georgia, along with my husband and best friend, Kola, with whom life is always an adventure. We are proud parents of two young adults, Tobi and Tolu who keep us forever young.
